Testimonials / Letters - Letter 71hello all, Just a bit of feed back. I live in Alice Springs and commute 440kms every three weeks to Ayers rock, Uluru for work. While I often fly, I also use the Harley when time permits. This Monday while riding down to work I seen two guys parked at Mt Ebenezer road house with BMW 1150gs. I rode straight though and at around 25 kms out and 160kms from the rock I spotted them in the mirror. It was 11.15am on a crystal clear day. They must have been sitting on around 140k as I was just cruising along at 125k, the first rider pulled out to pass and when he was around 3 metres in front of me a roo jumped out just missing his bike, landed and jumped again just missing my l/h handle bar! The rider turned to me and wiped his brow indicating how close it had been, looking under his arm I saw another roo coming and tried to warn him be he didn't even see it coming. He hit it full on at 140km/hr the carnage that followed was horrific the panniers both broke off and parts of the bike went every where. It all happened directly in front of me at around 1-3 metres always, he slid 110 of my paces and had his hands badly damaged 6 broken ribs, punctured lung etc. The point of this is that at 140k he went down on his right knee the jeans where shredded (Draggin jeans) but the liner was intact and he has no major injures to his legs. I am amazed that they work so well, as soon as I can afford a set I am ordering them, brilliant stuff. By the way the guys name is Kev and he is now in intensive care at Alice but I am sincerely sure that his injures would have been much much worse with out your product. Well Done |
