Testimonials / Letters - Letter 52In early April, my wife and I were travelling in a fairly remote area at 100 km/hr when we hit a 40-50 kg roo that bounded from the scrub. We hit the roo slightly off center, which drove the bike rapidly down before it high-sided us a couple of meters into the air. Our friends, who were riding behind us, described the rest as sliding, rolling, tumbling and bouncing. My friend visited the site a few days later and measured our point of rest at 77 and 79 meters from the collision. We were both wearing protective gear that included full-face helmets, armoured jackets, leather gloves and Draggin Jeans. All garments suffered some form of damage in the accident but it was the Draggin Jeans that surprised us with their durability and resistance to abrasion or tearing. Neither of us suffered substantial skin loss during the long slide along the bitumen road. We originally chose Draggin Jeans so that we could travel into outback areas during the hotter weather and remain reasonably comfortable in the heat. The Draggin’s are the most comfortable jeans that we have ever worn and they have far exceeded our expectations during adverse conditions. Keith Haynes |
