Testimonials / Letters - Letter 47To: dragginjeans I felt compelled to let you know how good your product is. I purchased a pair of the cargo pants about a year ago, as well as two pairs of jeans for my dad. I wear the cargo pants each time I ride my CBR 929RR. Being from LA and part of Ruff Ryders motorcycle organization, stunt riding is very popular and enticing. I ride safe and always suited up. A rider never expects to go down but it is inevitable the more extreme you ride. Nevertheless I am always prepared with all my gear on. On Christmas day my dad, my brother, some friends (w/ cameras) and I went down to a local straight away to get some shots on camera. We had only planned to be there for a few minutes, as it was Christmas and there were places to be. I threw a few wheelies for the camera and we decided that was good enough for the day. Every one split towards home. I was turning around to head home as well. My girlfriend and a friend of mine were following me. I signaled them to get one more shot with the camera. As they passed me I shifted to 2nd and popped the clutch to coax the front tire up, as the Rs started to increase I was mentally prepared for the amazing feeling of a wheelie. Unfortunately I got the uneasy feeling of weightlessness and the sight of redline and blue sky. I was in the process of looping my bike. I felt the tail reach 12:00 and then 12:15 and then my butt hit the asphalt. I began the slide, tumble, stand up, tumble, slide, and roll routine. I popped up, ran to my bike, picked it up, and rode it about a mile to my house. I then began to surmise the damage to me and the bike. I suffered a pretty decent scrape on my left knee, which required 5 stitches. My Draggins were severely torn up, with the exception of the Kevlar, which proved to have truly saved my ass. Upon further review my knee was affected because when I landed on my butt it lifted my left pant leg to an area that did not have Kevlar. With the exception of a minor knee injury, I suffered no other visual signs that I slid across a deteriorated asphalt surface. Unfortunately my bike was not equipped with Draggin jeans, it suffered some more substantial damage. All in all, I am in great shape. My Draggins and bike excluded. The moral off the story is that I will never ride again without your product. Thank you for making it safer to ride for me and my family. Garett Monroe |
