Testimonials / Letters - Letter 35

On the 26 th December 2002, I was riding from Roma (Qld) to Maryborough (Qld). At approx 4.45 pm there was a very severe windstorm accompanied by very heavy rain. This necessitated me in having to stop in the town of Biggenden (Qld) to attend to nature among other things.

Once the rain had eased off and I proceeded on my way. Approximately about 4 kilometres from the town a tree had fallen across the roadway as a result of the severe windstorm.

You can imagine what happened when a moving object hits an immovable one.......the bike and I hit the tar with some force.......I will let you use your imagination!

The bike received 4000 dollars damage and I received a broken rib plus numerous contusions and abrasions....quite painful in fact!

I put the lack of more severe injuries to the fact that I was totally enclosed in Draggin jeans products. I have been wearing the products for approx 24 months.

I am very surprised and grateful for the wear and abrasion resistant qualities of the products. I am about to order replacement items as soon as I finish here.

I have the utmost admiration for the Queensland ambulance officers who attended the accident. They commented as to the toughness of Draggin jeans because they had no end of trouble cutting through the Kevlar with their standard scissors. They had to use a very heavy duty pair to remove my jacket in case I had any sort of spinal injury.

I am enclosing some photos with which you can do what may. (photos to come)

Cheers
Ian Cooper
