Honda Scooter Man To Attempt Round Australia Ride

At 9.30am on 6 August 2006, Julio Languiller will depart from Federation Square on the first leg of a Round Australia scooter ride .

He will take 15 days to complete a 16,000km circumnavigation of the continent on Highway 1 aboard a a Honda 600cc Silverwing.

The ride will raise funds for the Lighthouse Foundation, a charity which provides housing for homeless adolescents.

Julio Languiller is a veteran of motorcycle record attempts, especially on scooters.
